Job Purpose and Impact
The Project Engineer will plan, support, and where applicable, manage and execute capital projects, engineering deliverables for one or more of our broad core technology or engineering area. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field.
Key Accountabilities
Plan, design, and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components.
Manage and execute capital projects.
Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Food engineering or other engineer discipline or equivalent years of working experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience in project management, operations, or food processing areas
Routine physical activity including standing and walking for several hours at a time, typing, climbing, and lifting approximately 55 lbs.
Experience in project management practices (PDP, PPM, Build, and PMG)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a food manufacturing facility
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement detailed solutions to complex technical problems involving multiple technologies, technically advise and troubleshoot
SAP experience
Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
Familiar with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Food Safety Construction Standards
Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Contractor Safety Standards
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
