BUNZL Human Resources Coordinator in Hazelwood, Missouri

Description

The HR Coordinator will support the Regional HR shared services group with various HR employment processes. This role is hybrid based in Hazelwood, MO.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and assist with pre-employment applicant screening including background checks and electronic drug tests

  • Initiates and Oversees Onboarding process for New Employees

  • Verify I-9’s are documented properly. Process E-Verify for each employee and reverifications as needed

  • Assist with New Hire benefit enrollment questions and annual Open Enrollment

  • Serves as first contact for all employee questions and concerns

  • Liaison between payroll, benefits, and other departments to communicate effectively with field employees

  • Coordinates required documentation for FMLA, STD/LTD and other leave of absences

  • Maintain Data Integrity

  • Process all life-cycle changes for employees

  • Maintains electronic human resources records in accordance with legal requirements and company policy

  • Assists managers with time keeping system (Kronos)

  • Assist Regional Human Resources teams

  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

  • Experience with UKG and Kronos is a plus

  • Ability to read, speak, and write in Spanish is a plus

  • Some business travel may be required

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience preferred

  • Knowledge of HR practices and familiarity of basic employment laws and compliance issues

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills and strong listening skills

  • Must possess strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Must possess strong planning, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills

  • Critical thinking and adaptability to change

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
