Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

Seeking an individual with an interest and experience in the manufacture of chemicals and materials, a keen eye for detail, and strong passion for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of analytical testing methods, nanometer charaterization, material synthesis and manufacturing and be a critical part of the team manufacturing various specialty nanomaterials under the guidance of the Sr scientists or engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Operate analytical instruments to measure and collect data for production scale materials.

· Produce test samples and measure performance

· Test, compile, and analyze data for production scale materials.

· Maintain quality databases and review Quality KPIs.

· Manage calibration and upkeep of Quality analytical instruments and equipment.

· Develop characterization methodologies as necessary and generate S.O.Ps accordingly.

• Assist with definition of product specifications for new production materials to align product performance with internal and external customer requirements.

• Participate in product nonconformance investigations and corrective action improvements.

• Prepare technical reports and summaries for internal and external use.

Requirements:

· BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related disciplines with industrial QC/QA experience.

· Familiarity with JMP or similar software, design of experiment, statistical analysis, and Quality standards.

· Knowledge of optoelectronic devices, thin film coatings, and hands on experience with related analytical instruments a plus.

· Experience with mixing, blending, and wet coating operations a plus

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member in a multi-disciplinary environment.
