IHG Restaurants & Bars Supervisor (FT) - InterContinental Hayman Island Resort in Hayman Island, Australia
InterContinental Hayman Island Resort welcomes a new era of immersive luxury in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Nestled at the northernmost point of Australia’s Whitsunday archipelago, Hayman Island’s location places you moments away from Langford Island, Blue Pearl Bay and Hook Island. This iconic luxury resort includes 168 guest rooms, suites, villas and residences, five distinct restaurants and bars, over 15 event spaces, a transformative Hayman Spa and Salon, and iconic private island experiences including private charters, snorkelling escapades and more.
Day to day
From bold, energetic and fun pan Asian with a modern Australian in vibrant and family friendly restaurant spaces to relaxed settings serving up quality Australian wines and exquisite refined dishes that are a contemporary twist on a classic brasserie. Adding a passionate and worldly leader who can bring the service, vision and InterContinental Life alive in these exciting new venues is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences.
This key role will support the Food & Beverage management team in bringing the food and beverage guest journey on the island to life. You will work with the team on shift to deliver exceptional service, creating rich and personal experiences that will bring the InterContinental Life alive. You will play a role in developing the Restaurants & Bars team to create a positive and productive work environment; motivating and working alongside them to ensure they deliver results and know how to truly deliver luxury in the food and beverage space.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience both in hospitality, leadership working in a resort or hotel with multiple Restaurant & Bar offerings and banqueting operation. You will have demonstrated capability in delivering high end customer service with proven ability to deliver on set targets.
You will have the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. The ability to explore new ways of working and an open minded around how we can drive the Resort forward and deliver unrivalled guest journeys will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must.
Previous exposure to a remote island environment would be a plus. However if you’re an organised and confident food and beverage professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion for bringing the InterContinental Life alive, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.
