Routt County Kitchen Assistant in Hayden, Colorado
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs routine dishwashing, cleaning, and other support duties in food and beverage kitchen setting; keeps the kitchen staff supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils; removes trash and cleans floors; keeps kitchen, dish and storage areas clean and organized; restocks supplies; and performs other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen dishwashing areas; assist with keeping other kitchen areas clean. Ensures that all stations remain stocked with dishes, utensils, and other items before, during and after meal periods. Keeps dish storage areas clean and organized. Wipes down and sanitizes food areas; cleans ovens. Sweeps and mops floors; removes and secures all trash in dumpsters. Monitors food preparation equipment, coolers, and freezers for proper operation; notifies the supervisor of any problems. Restocks supplies from the storeroom, including cups, straws, to-go boxes, napkins, and condiments. May assist with busing and clearing guest tables. May assist with the preparation of basic food and drink items. May clean and stock restrooms and other non-kitchen areas. Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: One year of kitchen dishwashing or general janitorial experience is desirable.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Valid Colorado Driver's License may be required to operate a County vehicle.
