Actalent Electrical Controls Engineer in Hawthorne, New York

Job Title: Electrical Controls EngineerJob Description

Join our R&D team to develop new applications and custom engineering solutions for the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. This role focuses on critical packaging applications, involving the design, selection, and implementation of components, along with the development of proprietary technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, select, and implement components for proprietary technologies.

  • Develop and program logic for various applications.

  • Document and train end-users on new technologies.

  • Perform release testing of finalized technologies.

  • Support the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries with engineering solutions.

Essential Skills

  • PLC programming

  • HMI programming

  • Experience with PLCs

  • Programming in structured text, ladder logic, JavaScript, C, and C++

  • PLC troubleshooting

  • Controls engineering

  • Automation and robotics

  • Electrical schematic design

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries

Work Environment

The role requires working onsite from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
