Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • To provide properly trained, qualified and certified Pilot and Sensor Operator Instructor aircrew to augment USMC FRSI's at VMUT-2 to enable and sustain student throughput IAW DCMAINST 8210.1 (series).

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *

Education:

Bachelor's degree required

Training and Experience

:

  • Prior USMC winged aviator who has held one of the following Military Occupational Specialty codes: 7315, 7318, 7509, 7511, 7513, 7516, 7518, 7523, 7531, 7543, 7556, 7560, 7562, 7563, 7564, 7565 or 7566.
  • Center for Learning and Faculty Development, Design Learning Experiences Course (DLEX) Course Identification (CID) M03KHXA, M03KHX1 or M03KHXM completion or ability to attend.
  • Center for Learning and Faculty Development, Formal School Manager's Course (FSMC) CID M03M51A, M10M511 or M03M51M completion or ability to attend.
  • No less than 3 years experience as permanent personnel at a USMC Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) or USMC Fleet Replacement Detachment (FRD).
  • No less than 3 years experience providing core introduction level training and initial basic aircrew qualifications to USMC personnel.
  • No less than five years of training management.

Desired Experience:

Previous USMC winged aviator instructor preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess extensive knowledge of the FRS enterprise system, UAS operations and aircrew training.
  • Schedule and accomplish formative and summaryevaluation of lessons.
  • P rovide frequent feedback to staff members and leadership regarding advances in instructional design and technology.
  • Analyze test items and cumulative data for trends.
  • Pursue the use of current technology, teaching tools, and techniques that are compatible with government media systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulations, instructions, procedures, Technical Orders, and other publications listed in the contract.
  • Review and/or revise courseware materials on scheduled, out-of-cycle, and as urgent requirements demand as stated in the contract.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Computer Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft Office PowerPoint Word, Excel skills, Proficient in Outlook.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems and Online Content Management Systems Preferred.

Security Clearance:

  • Current security clearance of "Secret" or above.
