Description

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Smithtown, New York, United States. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining the integrity of financial records, assisting with budget and forecast preparation, and ensuring compliance with regulations within our industry.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in the accurate and efficient processing of business transactions and posting adjustments to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts to meet financial reporting requirements.

• Facilitate the coordination of complex accounting tasks related to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.

• Adhere to organizational and governmental regulations to ensure compliance.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of effective accounting procedures for improved efficiency.

• Uphold accurate and complete financial records and participate in audits when needed.

• Aid in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and Sage 100.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Mastery of Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures

• Ability to perform accurate Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with maintaining and updating the General Ledger

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Knowledge in executing Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in using Sage 100 accounting software
