Quality Aluminum Acquisition LLC Logistics Coordinator - LOGIS001894 in Hastings, Michigan

Summary: The main goal of a Logistics Coordinator is to collaborate with QAP's transportation team to ensure prompt shipments and exceeding customer expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Schedule customer delivers and returns based on trucking logistics. Maintain constant communication with dedicated carrier to ensure customer needs are meet. Check deliveries for accuracy. Research and resolve any discrepancies. Input data and maintain accurate record for missed shipments. Schedule common carriers and live loads Ensure truck drivers time records and ELD are accurate and complete based on DOT standards and QAP policies. Qualify new drivers based on DOT and QAP standards. Maintain broad knowledge of DOT standards and FMCSA regulations Communicate between departments the status of deliveries. Schedule maintenance and inspections on trucks and trailers. Communicate with dedicated carrier. Track all the proof of deliveries. Maintain DOT records. Inspect returned materials for damage or defects. Maintain accurate shipment dates based on customer needs and finished goods. Input data to track department efficiency. Ability to maintain regular attendance at QAP facility. Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. Maintain communications between cross departments.

Language/Reasoning Ability/Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, count in simple units of measurement and or whole numbers. Ability to read, write and speak basic English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple lists. Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with interpersonal conflict.
