Immediate opening for experienced Groomer
In order to meet rapidly growing client needs, we are now hiring for the position of Groomer at our busy grooming business. This position will be full-time and work as scheduled Monday through Saturday; however, this is not a six-day-a-week position, you will only be scheduled for five days during the week, but it will include Saturdays as well. Typical workday is from 8 a.m. until finished with your scheduled dogs. You will only be scheduled the number of dogs that you are comfortable with, with a goal of 6-10 grooms a day. We do not work Sundays or major US holidays.
This is a W-2 position. Pay will be based on experience, professionalism, attendance, and performance.
Please bring a resume and portfolio (can be pictures of your grooms on your phone) with you if called to an interview. If called back for a second interview, or decided on the day of the interview, a technical will be conducted either at the interview, or at a scheduled time shortly after (depending on pet availability).
Groomer candidates should be familiar and efficient with basic grooming competencies, such as scissoring, the use of clippers with or without guards, breed identification, breed cuts, and de-matting. Also, candidates should expect to interact with the customer, identify any concerns with the pet at check-in, provide grooming recommendations, and follow client's directions.
