The Strategic Project Manager is responsible for mobilizing, executing, and delivering projects of Batteries Plus Bulbs through providing project management leadership and support to the Executive team. The Strategic Project Manager will leverage their knowledge of the retail industry and Project Management best practices to drive the right business decisions and outcomes for Batteries Plus and our 700+ retail stores nationwide. Located on-site with work form home flexibility at the Batteries Plus corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, Wisconsin, the Strategic Project Manager will own and drive execution of high visibility and high impact projects and act as a subject matter expert on project management, process improvement, and change management.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Program Management to include executing on high priority and high impact projects

  • Responsible for managing budget, owning, and driving execution of projects

  • Leverage internal partners to ensure projects are well informed with context to the business, the customer, and the industry

  • Provide leadership as a subject matter expert on Project Management, Process Improvement, and Change Management

  • Facilitate training to teams and individuals

  • Coach Executive and Business Sponsors in their role and support the decision making process

  • Manage cross-project dependencies with IT leadership and Project Champions

    Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project management work experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field

  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 20%

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Project Management

  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Visio along with MS Office and Google Suite

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex task simultaneously while taking ownership of a project and effectively prioritizing work to meet business requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills
