The Sr. IT Business Analyst for Batteries Plus will partner with clients to define and articulate project spec requirements for automated solutions. The Sr. IT Business Analyst will be the liaison between system users and the development team(s), and will work on multiple projects or moderately complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes production, inventory control, distribution, cost analysis, finance, marketing, human resources, and other business functions in order to develop new or modified information processing systems.

  • Consults with business unit management and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, data scope, usage, formatting, and security requirements.

  • Manages multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously and/or moderately complex projects.

  • Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.

  • Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems.

  • Consults and coordinates with systems analysts and programmers to design and develop automated business systems.

  • Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.

  • Consults with business unit management and personnel to obtain additional information during system development and evaluate alternatives.

  • Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install, and modify programs.

  • Tracks and documents changes to functional and business specifications.

  • Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.

  • Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.

  • Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects.

  • Performs integration and regression testing, as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ years of related experience, plus previous experience leading and directing teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of coding languages and systems.

  • Ability to learn new coding languages and technologies.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
