The Director of Corporate Strategy will be responsible for working with the Executive team to define and frame our short and long term strategies, translate those into clear targets, and ensure infrastructure is built for ongoing growth targets. This position will be responsible for identifying and framing strategic growth opportunities across the organization and working cross-functionally to address them. The right person has both the vision and the ability to steer the strategy through continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

Strategic Design

  • Work with the Executive Team to understand the highest priority company-wide metrics and how to achieve them

  • In close partnership with the Executive Team, own the planning and company-wide objectives strategy planning process

  • Work across all levels of the organization to identify areas of biggest opportunities for growth and improvement. Maintain a prioritized roadmap and enterprise calendar for objectives, strategies, and projects to plan all aspects including: timing, impact, effort, risk, available capacity, dependencies, and other factors

  • Own the end-to-end process to frame, hypothesize, analyze, and operationalize transformational initiatives that don't fall neatly into an existing function

  • Drive clear communications and alignment with investors, Executive team, and employees. This includes collaborating with finance to ensure we have clear, effective communications with the board of directors

    Project Prioritization

  • Provide executive leaders with the information needed to assess which proposals have the highest potential value, impact and strategic alignment.

  • Interface with executives to define project priorities and implementation opportunities and challenges, and keep them up-to-date with project risks and opportunities.

    Change Management

  • Act as the champion and provide oversight for all change efforts on the enterprise strategic initiatives

  • Develop and drive adoption of change management strategy for the enterprise

  • Define and manage stakeholders, their engagement, and communications throughout the programs

  • Lead in the identification of organization impacts from process, policy, data, talent, and technology changes

  • Build change management plans that are aligned to overall program plans and are designed to guide audiences through the change phases, including all sponsor/manager, training, communications, and support activities required to successfully implement the change

  • Serve as primary liaison with groups to facilitate program communications, including customers, partners, and employees

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field required. Certifications in Project Management are strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of demonstrated project management, strategy development, or change management work experience delivering successful projects. Previous experience within a retail organization is a plus.

  • At least 3 years experience supervising and leading teams.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Project and MS Visio, Google Suite or similar software.

  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to accurately and clearly present new information and work collaboratively.

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to take ownership of a project and effectively prioritize work to meet business requirements.

  • Well organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Able to develop and follow-up on plans; meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment

  • Occasional travel, up to 20%.
