About The OpportunityThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, building, and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, and a basic knowledge of electrical repair. You will also assist in executing preventative and predictive maintenance programs to ensure overall equipment reliability, and troubleshoot equipment related issues safely and successfully. Key Duties And Responsibilities Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards Troubleshoot/repair mechanical equipment, including power transmission, chains, hydraulic/pneumatic/steam systems, vacuum pumps, and mechanical motors. Troubleshoot/repair electrical components including motors, disconnecting devices, wiring, overload protection devices, PLC, and electronic circuits/devices used for the control of machinery and equipment Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment Coordinate with equipment/service vendors for technical assistance Maintain documentation and communicate updated documentation to manager and staff. Accurately create and complete essential maintenance work orders and other required paperwork. Assists with ordering, verification, and inventory of parts Keep manager up to date on the status of all assigned projects, work back log, on-going problems, and safety issues. Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement & drive recommendations to implementation or resolution. Complete or assist with special projects as directed. Work from sketches or verbal instructions; interpret blueprints.
