Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$55,700.00 - $91,900.00

What Is the Opportunity?

Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for basic to moderate technical reinsurance accounting and cash applications in the reinsurance systems. Introduction to servicing the reinsurance contracts. This job does not manage others.

What Will You Do?

  • Apply cash in the reinsurance system

  • Collect reinsurance receivables

  • Prepare Reinsurance Loss Reports and billing packages for retrocessionaires

  • Reconcile Ledger accounts to the reinsurance system

  • Create pivot tables in Excel and prepare monthly management reporting package in PowerPoint

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance

  • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and proficiency with PowerPoint

  • Industry related experience, solid analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Reinsurance experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to collaborate, partner and work with colleagues, clients and counterparties to meet deadlines and deliver results

  • Ability to learn and master various computer systems

  • Interest in continuous learning and professional development

  • Ability to become proficient in reinsurance accounting. Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Industry related experience.

  • Must demonstrate technical proficiency in most facets of the job and be able to handle the basic accounting tasks.

  • Personal computer literacy in spreadsheet and word processing applications is needed.

  • Exhibits analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload effectively.

What is a Must Have?

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience plus High School Diploma/GED

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with utilizing Microsoft Excel
