Job Description
Manage a team that manages OCI Tenancies, Cloud Virtual Network and Platform Shared services within the Cross Platform Engineering Services team. Identify and implement the most optimal and latest Cloud native Virtual Network solutions, Platform solutions or build complementary platform services as required for Oracle. This role requires thought process to plan, design, implement, support and maintain the solutions. Should manage the tenancies in accordance with company security guidelines and in support of the enterprise network and corporate strategy.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Owns roadmap planning to work towards future state of the team and services.
People management across timezones (AMER/APAC) for talent review, and goal setting for the team, coaching employees on their job performance, giving feedback, and suggesting corrective action as appropriate.
Responsible for building team including recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
Helps recruit for the entire division and develops senior ICs.
Lead the implementation, configuration, maintenance and provide support of the cloud network and transit tenancies
Provide administration, monitoring, documentation, security and integration of the network
Troubleshoot issues that may occur within the cloud network environment
Apply industry best practices and standard operation procedures when designing and implementing any new or changes to the services
Provide advice to cloud engineers/architects with regards to cloud platform setup and configuration like network ports, ingress/egress rules
Drive Implementation of Security and Compliance Controls: Ensure that the network infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements working with Cloud security and compliance teams to implement security and compliance controls and ensure that they are being followed.
Collaborate with Platform Teams: Work closely with other Enterprise Engineering and OCI Product teams, including developers, operations, and security teams. They collaborate with these teams to ensure that the as a Platform team we are able to meet the organization’s requirements and can support its goals.
Automation: Develop and implement automation hands on if required for the team leading from front.
Develop processes to simplify and streamline the management of services
Works with the App Owner/Business team to determine their service demand pipeline for both new and retiring services
Works with TPM's and include the new demands into the capacity forecast & budgeting.
Compile Service Review Reports to report our performance against Service Levels
Contribute to the coordination of Major Incidents where required and produce Major Incident Reports
Manage the on-boarding of new Applications
Develops and maintains service capacity forecasts, responsible for the day-to-day capacity and proactive management of services
Proactively monitors cloud-based service offerings as they move through development, continuous integration, and pre-production, in addition to what we have in production itself
Work and be responsible for On-call escalation for operational management of the services developed in DevOps model
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Education
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Or relevant work experience
Cloud Architect certification in either OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP will be an advantage
Technical Skills
Minimum 5 years working experience in network technology field, with at least 3 years on cloud platforms and infrastructure and/or established network architectures
Must have experience in public cloud offering on at least 1 or 2 of the well-known cloud service providers i.e. OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure or Alibaba
Good understanding of networking i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, etc
Sound understanding of IT security and cloud security.
Proficiency in Network and cloud architectures, and all associated components and technologies.
Infrastructure automation experience in Python, Terraform, Ansible, Go
Experience with Cloud Orchestration frameworks, development and SRE support of these systems
Experience in Cloud Native technologies including the design and the automation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) deployments in a blue green manner.
Experience in development of bespoke Platforms or automated deployment of Platform as a Service (PaaS) capabilities to improve a new or existing environment would be an advantage
Skilled in creating and reviewing designs based on code that deploys virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, container services, OS services, etc.
Product or project experience architecting, implementing, and optimizing core infrastructure
Working with or supporting production, test, and development environments for medium to large user environments
Experience with Project Management Tools and Software (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project)
Strong working knowledge of Cloud IT processes and Cloud IT infrastructure
Management Skills
Minimum of 3 years people management experience.
Experience reviewing and implementing DevOps and Agile standards and practices
Proven ability to combine business acumen, technical acumen and process expertise to define client (internal/external) engagement and program execution
Proven ability to influence & gain buy-in at multiple levels, across divisions, functions and cultures; comfort working with executive level management
Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules
Strong bias toward action, flexible, resourceful, and able to operate effectively within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation written, email)

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $121,900 to $285,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Colorado Pay Range: from $112,300 to $256,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
New York City Pay Range: from $127,600 to $271,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Washington Pay Range: from $142,600 to $271,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
