Collins Aerospace, a business unit of Raytheon Technologies, is seeking a strong candidate to join the Power and Controls segment, as a Senior Manager on the CSCL Team (Collins Management System Supply Chain Lead) team.

The successful candidate will be the supply chain lead for the Valves & Rotatives production cell and “Purchase-Complete” parts supporting the Windsor Locks, CT plant. As such they will own the supply chain strategy and performance for the site and be the conduit into supply chain for other functions. The supply chain lead will assess historical trends and analyze the current environment and connect to a broad network across Power & Controls to quickly receive and assimilate recent developments to anticipate, mitigate, and prevent supply chain risks. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, engineering, quality, and value stream across Power & Controls to identify root cause of supply chain issues and execute both short- and long-term solutions.

This role will also create and execute the supply chain strategy and operational goals tied to site supply chain performance and future growth, as well as develop and implement new processes, standards, and operational plans to support the strategy.

Essential to this role are strong communication skills; a polished, professional presence; analytical capability; proven sound judgement; excellent business acumen; a focused sense of urgency; mastery of project management; and a high degree of self-sufficiency, as it is the forward-facing supply chain individual responsible for the end-to-end supply chain performance.

What You Will Do

• Thorough understanding of: production cell and site key products, critical parts, barriers to delivery, historical challenges and trends, internal and external factors impacting supply chain (planning methodologies, customer restrictions, industrial and global economic impacts), key customer care-abouts relative to supply chain, etc., in order to be regarded as the foremost expert on your site’s supply chain and use this knowledge to inform the supply chain strategy.

• Manage multiple concurrent supply chain critical issues, work with relevant parties to prioritize, determine root cause, devise solutions, execute, and mitigate impact; ensure stakeholders are kept informed of key developments.

• Employ change management practices to instigate initiatives, optimize processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization and along the value stream.

• Create and execute a robust supply chain strategy for the plant site to improve site performance.

• Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating existing supplier processes and identifying and executing improvement opportunities in alignment with organizational goals and improvement target and support occasional supplier visits.

• Present to executives both internally and at our external customers.

• Develop, analyze, and utilize appropriate metrics to measure and improve the site’s supply chain performance.

• Support of monthly sales & operations planning.

• Provide guidance and training, mentor and equip team members, business leaders, and staff with practical expertise.

• This remote position will require occasional business travel to support supplier visits and Collins Aerospace site visits.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

• Experience with SAP, specifically executing and interpreting supply chain, and planning reports.

• Able to keep on top of the details of multiple, concurrent issues/projects at various stages and drive to resolution.

• Adept at reading and understanding drawings and other technical documents.

• Expert verbal and written communicator.

• An understanding of financial drivers to manufacturing processes and priorities.

• Comfortable presenting to executives and able to garner trust in expertise.

• Substantial experience with root cause/ corrective action analysis (RCCA).

• Experience in aerospace industry supply chain.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
