Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an EXPERIENCED POST ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT (PACU ) to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at The Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute, Saint Francis Hospital, and Medical Center.

Work Hours/Highlights:

Full-Time – 36 hours/week - Day Shift.

You Will Be Responsible For the following:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering patient care for an assigned group of patients and directing and coordinating all nursing care according to established standards of practice. This perioperative RN will work pre-op and assist with regional nerve blocks and PACU. It uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient’s responses and progress toward goals. Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.

Requirements :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

  • Registered Nurse Licensure (RN): Connecticut’s current registered nurse (RN) licensure.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of Critical Care/ICU/Emergency Room or PACU experience.

  • Requires the ability to practice utilizing ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) recommended standards and guidelines.

  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

  • BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.

  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
