Oracle Program Manager 5-ProdDev in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

As a Senior Principal Program Manager for Service Operations in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will lead an organization comprised of numerous engineering teams in the delivery and operation of cloud services that will enable security at the scale of the cloud. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing numerous complex projects and initiatives that affect the entire cloud. You will work with executive leadership to chart a path to success, providing influence and direction based on your experience as a leader. You will work with other Cloud Security teams to ensure they are getting the support and telemetry from various tools and systems to properly protect Oracle and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security or related discipline.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 years of overall experience in the software industry with at least 8 years as a program or senior project manager.

  • Ability to manage all phases of the software development life cycle.

  • Experience in managing cloud-based projects.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Ability to facilitate meetings, capture minutes and action items, and drive to-dos to completion.

  • Schedule awareness – ability to communicate priorities and sequence project work.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams in various time zones.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS Project Plan Online

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing software assurance projects.

  • Experience/background in security space, cloud applications

  • Working knowledge of scripting language for JIRA & Confluence automation would be a plus

  • Higher-level skills in project management tools using MS Project online would be a plus

  • PMP or other Project/Program Management industry certification(s).

  • Certified Scrum Master, Product Owner or other agile certification.

  • Cloud Certification(s) (OCI).

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $104,000 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
