Oracle Principal Consultant - Microbiology in Hartford, Connecticut

We are looking for an experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of Laboratory Microbiology solutions, Laboratory Microbiology industry best practices, and multiple business processes or technology designs within the Laboratory family. You will operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement as well as perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle Health Microbiology products and technology to meet customer needs. This role will allow you to apply Oracle Health methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

As a Principal Consultant, you will consult with clients on comprehensive Microbiology workflows, including current state and future state, and work with clients to map out stop-start-continue processes in the laboratory to determine how the system will be designed and tested. You will identify, resolve and report Microbiology status, risks, and issues to client and project leadership. You will coach clients on Microbiology data collection and system design requirements and analyze to determine optimal solution build and implementation for the Microbiology department in the laboratory. You will also consult with internal project and organizational teams to bi-directionally share configuration status, project timelines and project updates, and verify configuration requests. As a key member of the Laboratory deployment team, you will maintain client relationships and navigate through conflict and complex relationship situations to achieve business objectives for the Microbiology department. You will coach and mentor associate consultants to learn Microbiology and support internal team initiatives.

Responsibilities

Supporting conversion activities as well as current state assessments.

Designing and troubleshooting the Microbiology portion of discrete reference lab interfaces.

Communicating Microbiology needs as it relates to Infection Control and other State reporting requirements.

Maintaining Federal clearance and any other clearance requirements as it relates to a deployment.

Will be responsible for designing the Microbiology solution for complex laboratories.

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 1 year healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support and/or other client-facing or information technology (IT) solution work experience

  • At least 4 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education

  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• PathNet design and build experience

• Conversion and Current State assessment experience

• Workflow updates and validation experience

• Experience with discrete reference lab interfaces

• Experience with microbiology and infection control reporting

• Experience with multi-facility design and build

• Government/Federal experience

Expectations

• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to an already virtually approved location

• Willing to travel up to 60% as needed

• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

• Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
