Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$126,200.00 - $208,300.00

What Is the Opportunity?

The Engineering Enablement Circle is seeking a Lead Technology Engineer with an everything-as-code mindset that is passionate about CI/CD, Kubernetes, and automation. In this position, you will lead the enterprise Continuous Delivery (CD) service. You will lead the work of engineering teams while supporting the definition and enablement of the enterprise Continuous Delivery service vision. By focusing on the achievement of defined outcomes, you’ll provide engineers across the enterprise with greater flexibility and freedom through fast, frictionless patterns and solutions to enable delivery to a variety of targets from cloud to on-prem while ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud strategies.

What Will You Do?

  • Develop strategic solutions and set technical direction that aligns with the business and engineering priorities.

  • Drive the design and delivery of business and engineering priorities.

  • Build, leverage, and maintain effective alliances across technical and business community.

  • Interact with engineers, stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to achieve effective, strategic, and fiscally responsible results.

  • Seek opportunities where technology can be utilized to improve the business, enhance the engineer experience, and provide more efficient processes.

  • Support the translation of business strategies and needs into execution ready work for engineering teams; define teams’ goals and strategies and ensure alignment with circle and value stream vision.

  • Participate in team ceremonies, including standup and backlog refinement and provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements, and contribute to the removal of roadblocks or impediments.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for monitoring and observability as well as continuous team and process improvement.

  • Seen as a technical expert across the organization and the industry.

  • Provide technical leadership, foster a team environment, and provide mentorship and feedback to team members.

  • Direct complex design, development, analysis, configuration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementation based on user or system specifications for impactful and high-visibility tasks.

  • Lead investigation and resolution efforts for critical, high impact problems, defects, and incidents.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Nine years of experience in Technology preferred.

  • Three years of experience as a technical lead preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.

  • Master level knowledge of one or more of the following technical skills:

  • Foundational IT Infrastructure

  • Operating Systems

  • Software

  • Knowledge of process discipline and IDLC methodology

  • Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, containerization, and microservices architecture.

  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes cloud platforms (EKS, OCP)

  • Experience with the following technologies or similar is required: CI/CD tools (Argo CD, UCD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), GitHub, Helm, dependency management tools (Nexus), monitoring and logging tools, Terraform.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

What is a Must Have?

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, plus five years of experience in Technology required;

  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in CS or a related field and three years of work experience in Technology.

  • One year of experience as a technical lead required.
