Great Lakes Energy Senior Member Service Coordinator in Hart, Michigan
Senior Member Service Coordinator
Great Lakes Energy is looking for a senior member service coordinator to support and coordinate efficient scheduling, call center support, cashiering and reception duties.
Who We Are
For over 85 years, Great Lakes Energy has powered rural communities across 26 counties in western and northern Michigan. As the third-largest Michigan-based electric utility and the state's largest member-owned power company, we serve over 128,000 meters with pride. Beyond delivering reliable electricity, we are leaders in advanced fiber technology through Truestream, our communication solutions subsidiary.
At Great Lakes Energy, we prioritize enriching the lives of our community members and employees. With over 300 team members, we're more than just colleagues-we're a close-knit family, united by a shared vision of growth, innovation, and community service.
A Day in The Life of a Sr. Member Service Coordinator
Being a Senior Member Service Coordinator is a role where no two days look the same. You'll find yourself balancing a dynamic mix of responsibilities-from providing excellent customer service to overseeing technical and administrative tasks.
Picture yourself as the connective thread between members, crews, and operations. You'll tackle advanced electric service issues, coordinate service scheduling, process work orders, and ensure that member inquiries are resolved efficiently. As a trusted mentor, you'll train and support colleagues, monitor service quality, and recommend improvements.
Although you will have a primary reporting location, supporting our other seven service areas is part of the role, so travel will be required. Adaptability and problem-solving are key as you step in wherever needed-whether responding to emails or assisting dispatch during widespread outages. Every day offers the chance to make a tangible difference for members and the organization.
(Placement location considerations: Hart, Kalkaska, Reed City, Scottville, and Newaygo)
Who You Are
You're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is second nature. You enjoy variety in your daily work and take pride in providing excellent service to members. You're comfortable using different computer programs and can communicate effectively without face-to-face contact. Teamwork and coordination are at the heart of this role, and you bring a high school education along with customer service experience from any industry. We would love to see electric distribution coordination or call center experience, but we're open to a variety of backgrounds for this entry-level role.
