Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for a Drilling Equipment Operator to join our team and help connect America. The Drilling Equipment Operator can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner.

What you’ll do…

  • You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer

  • You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite

  • You will develop and maintain a bore schedule

  • You will be responsible for the site set-up and clean-up

  • You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck

  • You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis – JSA prior to starting construction

  • You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • You are authorized to work in the United States for this company

  • You have a valid standard Driver's License or a Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement

  • You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company

  • You are able to maintain a safe work environment

  • You are able to work in all weather conditions

  • You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance

  • You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call

  • You are experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations

  • You are able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities

  • You may have experience with drill set up and design processes

  • You may able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions

  • You are able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects

  • You may have previous construction or utility construction experience

  • Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.

  • Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required. The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.
