Role Overview

This is a newly created global product management role focused on concepting & developing authentication solutions for Mastercard branded commercial virtual cards. Our clients include Issuers, Corporates, Governments, FinTechs, as well as Enterprise Platforms serving buyers & suppliers in the B2B and T&E space.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders as well as clients to conduct comprehensive need gap analysis focused on fraud vectors impacting the commercial virtual card space incl. but not limited to e-commerce and accounts payables channels across different verticals, as well as regulatory mandates (e.g. 2FA)

• Identify critical priorities, and formulate authentication strategies for varying use cases and market specific needs

• Create short/ mid/long term roadmap proposals; develop business case with clear monetization approach

• Lead product development and commercialization, starting with pilots or market tests as appropriate (note that the role starts as a sole contributor - as build plans emerge the individual may be expected to hire and train a small team of product owners)

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with Engineering, Operations and Delivery partners, fostering a ‘one team’ mindset; collectively commit to milestones and outcomes, effectively manage key dependencies and risks.

• Deliver against tangible and measurable KPIs, including GDV and various facets of customer experience e.g. ease of implementation, resiliency

• Monitor the competitive landscape- traditional and nontraditional/ emerging players.

• Understand regulations and localization needs impacting our business, establish foundational global implementations.

All about you

• Deep knowledge of the card payment ecosystem and technologies

• Solid hands-on experience in building and scaling authentication, fraud and security technology products.

• Deep knowledge of industry protocols such as 3DS, FIDO and tokenization strongly preferred; Experience in B2B payments and commercial cards is a bonus

• Full stack product manager with high technical aptitude

• Experience hiring and managing technical product managers

• Intellectually curious, solves complex problems, manages multiple priorities in time sensitive and challenging/dynamic environments

• Entrepreneurial attitude, fast learner, and a results-driven mindset

• Strong relationship building skills and communication skills

Total Base Pay Range for New York: 178,000.00 - 284,000.00 USD Annual

Total Base Pay Range for Purchase: 170,000.00 - 273,000. 00 USD Annual

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
