Wolters Kluwer VP, Business Development Content Strategy - Clinical Effectiveness in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Wolters Kluwer is looking for a key member of the Clinical Effectiveness Senior Leader team who will contribute to the vision and value proposition of the overall strategy business unit. The Vice President, Business Development – Content Strategy is a strategic thinker who has strong executive leadership capability and proven business acumen to drive innovative growth from our best-in-class content assets.
Reporting to the Wolters Kluwer Health Chief Medical Officer, the incumbent in this role will focus on developing market and data-driven new compelling content solutions and enhancing existing offerings that materially contribute to growth by deriving insights from our content to innovate new derivative offers. The incumbent will be responsible for the ideation and implementation of new content and distribution strategies globally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for budget, operational and talent plan.
Develops a customer and data-driven strategy for monetizing our content assets and creates a plan to deliver growth at or above the market growth rate.
Keeps abreast of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management and applies these to develop innovative solutions and transformation plans and roadmaps.
Oversees the development of new and existing content enhancements, ranging from market validation to technical development.
Informs our overall strategy with an in-depth understanding the market, customer use cases and workflows, customer messaging, user experience and other customer-oriented insights. This should be accomplished through a combination of qualitative research, quantitative research and data analytics.
Represents Wolters Kluwer internally and externally as an industry expert.
Establishes best practices for regular communication with matrixed and diverse stakeholders with well-defined roles and alignment of goals and KPIs.
Reports regularly on process, using meaningful KPIs. Proactively identifies gaps and opportunities and puts plans in place to address them.
Participates in annual CE wide goal setting (VSP) and collaborate with leaders across CE to align priorities against strategic and financial objectives.
Leads, mentors, coaches and fosters a high performing culture of collaboration and inclusiveness.
Establishes performance goals and support staff in their professional development; providing ongoing feedback for constant improvement.
Builds high performing teams, ensuring alignment through KPI reporting and regular quantitative and qualitative check ins.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years working effectively in a matrixed corporate environment, ideally specific experience working with healthcare professionals, software engineers, and product managers.
Minimum 10+ years proven success in a leadership position.
Minimum of 10 years in healthcare/HIT Health Information Technology.
Proven success implementing strategies and plans, developing clear KPIs and expectations to drive growth and innovation using change management principles, methodologies and tools.
Demonstrated ability of establishing business cases and developing appropriate supporting budgets then driving projects through a matrix on time and on-budget.
Proven ability to lead lean product development approach to new initiatives.
Knowledge and experience of editorial processes involved in creating and maintaining content products.
Strong analytical and operational skills and experience transforming a vision into reality.
A collaborative leader that can draw cross-functional teams together to execute common goals and ambitions.
Strong technical and engineering acumen and able to understand content structure, editorial tools, search technology and advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Proven success in translating the needs of healthcare markets into new solution development.

Compensation:
Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA:: $203,900 - $262,150
