DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Surplus Property Agent - Law Programs, you will be a central point of contact for, and develop active working relationships with, a variety of law enforcement agencies utilizing excess property, surplus property, and federal contracts to purchase new property.

You will directly assist the Division Chief for the Law Enforcement Property Programs. This position communicates with law enforcement agencies to identify their needs and perform liaison work with the federal General Services Administration (GSA) and the federal Department of Defense (DOD) to communicate those needs and facilitate the transfer of surplus property. Your research into GSA Supply Schedules and DOD contracts will help you delve into complex databases and determine "best value" purchasing for local law enforcement and eligible state agencies to get what they need to effectively serve our communities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position requires frequent travel as part of the job duties. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience in marketing, distribution, purchasing, maintenance, supply or warehousing and inventory control of a wide variety of materials and equipment.

Special Requirement: Must possess a current driver's license which is not under suspension.

Additional Requirements: Minimum two years of experience operating a box truck, forklift, and pallet jack. Minimum three years of inventory management experience. Minimum two years of experience in sales and marketing. Minimum two years of experience using computer programs and databases. Ability to travel in and out of state and overnights. Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Criteria: Experience researching data in websites. Experience working Law Enforcement Agencies.
