DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, your main responsibility will be to offer advice and support to airport sponsors and municipalities regarding state and federal aviation administration (FAA) regulations and standards for airport planning, development, and modifications. You will oversee projects throughout the entire project delivery process, following both state and federal guidelines, from procurement to project closeout. Additionally, you will provide guidance on funding programs and technical aspects for proposed projects by airport sponsors. Other tasks include assessing the condition of airport pavements for each project, reviewing updates from the pavement management system, participating in planning sessions with sponsors to assist with budgeting and project prioritization, and evaluating the annual four-year program in collaboration with the bureau's planning section and the airport sponsor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. This position may be headquartered in Keystone Building (Dauphin County); consideration will be given to headquarters being in a district office provided space is available. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or

Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or

Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license. Other Requirements: is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
