DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Public Health Program Administrator you develop and manage the Community-Based Health Care (CBHC) request for applications process, grant application review process, and coordinate the grant agreement negotiation process with other office staff to ensure the processes are conducted according to procurement policies.

Duties include creating templates for grant agreement documents with grantees, negotiating and developing work statements and budgets for assigned grantees to ensure they meet program guidelines, and performing analyses of proposed legislation concerning the CBHC program to determine effects of the legislation. Also, you develop policies and procedures resulting from changes in legislation affecting the program and act as the project officer on grants that are not part of the CBHC program to ensure team goals are met. In addition, you work with other team members on additional assignments given to our office.

At times, you may be assigned to respond to a public health emergency. These emergency assignments could be received with little or no advance notice. Also, these assignments could last as little as a few hours, and as much as a few weeks and may require traveling to a site for long periods of time.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week. Work days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. Telework eligible full-time with one (1) day a month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
