DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will support the Division of Tobacco Prevention and Control in their efforts to promote healthy behaviors and prevent injury and disease. This includes managing statewide tobacco cessation programs, such as the PA Free Quitline, and providing guidance on population-based counseling and treatment programs. You will also work on implementing changes in the healthcare provider system based on clinical practice guidelines, with the goal of eliminating barriers to treatment for underserved populations. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and recommending cessation systems and strategies to ensure compliance with best practices. You will also provide technical assistance to staff within the Bureau of Health Planning and Risk Reduction and external partners involved in tobacco cessation efforts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, 1 day a month in the office, may be subject to change. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (commonwealth title); or A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions. How to Apply:
