Requirements of the CNA Career Training Instructor (RN):
PDE-approved NATCEP - Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program Instructor
Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of two (2) years’ nursing experience, and at least one (1) year of which must be in the provision of long-term care facility services.
Must have an unrestricted license Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
Nursing experience in meeting resident’s psychosocial, behavioral, cognitive, and physical needs to include direct care, supervision, and/or education.
Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the CNA Career Training Instructor (RN):
Instruction and Curriculum Development:
Craft and deliver engaging lessons that encompass both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for nursing and CNA training. Regularly update curriculum materials to align with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Must provide the state-approved nurse aide training curriculum.
Clinical Training:
- Coordinate and supervise clinical training sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students. Provide mentorship during hands-on training to enhance their practical skills.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Monitor and evaluate student performance through various assessments, providing constructive feedback to foster their academic and clinical growth.
Industry Engagement:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, fostering relationships with healthcare facilities for potential student placements and collaborative opportunities.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement, while establishing clear expectations for behavior and academic performance.
