Reference #: 4473011 THE POSITION The Department of Transportation Chief Counsel is currently looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical legal professional to join our team as a Legal Analyst. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In your role as the presiding officer, you will be responsible for deciding on participation levels, evaluating evidence, and making final rulings unless challenged. Adherence to Agency guidelines and protocols is essential. The position demands unbiased fact-finding from the evidence provided at hearings and making decisions based on those findings. Official electronic databases and records will document all proceedings. It is crucial to carry out all duties independently, justly, and without bias.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school; or Five years of legal research and analysis experience including three years at the professional level, and an associate's degree; or Three years of professional experience in legal research and analysis, and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes two years of professional experience in legal research and analysis.
