Position Overview:

 

  • The I.T. Project Manager plays a vital role in the successful execution and delivery of technology projects. Working closely with various departments and stakeholders, the I.T. Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing I.T. projects that align with the company's strategic objectives. The role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in the company's technology landscape.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage cross-functional projects across multiple business units. Lead the operational planning and design for the implementation of prioritized workstreams.
  • Defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively facilitate cross-functional, and business process discussions in a productive manner while not necessarily being the Subject Matter Expert.
  • Apply a consultative approach to assist with functional & technical workstreams.
  • Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information technology, infrastructure, business, and security architectures.
  • Comprehend overall project scope and dependencies and how individual project actions or deliverables align to them.
  • Accountable for delivering on team goals and deliverables.
  • Define project success criteria and effectively communicate project updates to all levels of organization in a manner appropriate to the targeted audience, from individual contributor team member to executive team.
  • Prepare steering committee and executive-level materials and present to executives, vendors, and customers.
  • Manage and build relationships with key decision makers from project inception to post-deployment while simultaneously ensuring sponsor and end-user satisfaction.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate project portfolio management software, proactively identifying, and managing project dependencies and critical path across multiple work stream to deliver expected results.
  • Anticipate and respond to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' hands-on experience leading complex program/projects is required. This includes project planning, project controls/monitoring, budget management, setting and managing customer expectations.
  • Previous experience with managing Application Development is desired.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project and Sma tsheet as well as MS Office applications for reports, analysis, and presentations is required.
  • Ability to lead multiple project teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and establish positive working relationships across all levels throughout the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven history as a self-starter who is flexible and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Experience in leading people in all aspects of their professional development such as leadership, methodology, tools, people skills and navigating politics.

Physical requirements:

 

  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods, working at a computer.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Willing and able to travel on a minimal basis.
