The Health and Human Services IT Delivery Center (HHS-IT-DC) is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Information Technologist Generalist Administrator 1 (ITGA1). This is a key position within the DOH/DDAP Solution Management Division responsible for directly supporting IT application and reporting needs for the Department of Health (DOH) that are primarily focused in the areas of disease surveillance and laboratory operations.

The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center provides end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1 (ITGA), you will be coordinating and working closely with assigned NEDSS-Lab Support, HHSDC, and DOH staff to plan and write detailed technology and infrastructure project activities and milestones for new and ongoing public health grants in the areas of epidemiology, laboratory operations, disease surveillance, and emergency preparedness, as well as coordinating the quarterly reporting of technology and infrastructure projects. Work includes maintaining a comprehensive grant schedule, responsibility matrix, and coordinating with assigned NEDSS-Lab Support, HHSDC, and DOH staff to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness for public health grants. You will also be working closely with the assigned Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) in planning and managing technology and infrastructure spending funded by public health grants in the areas of epidemiology, laboratory operations, disease surveillance, and emergency preparedness. Responsibilities also include: Coordinating testing, requirements gathering, and supporting activities for new projects and maintaining support work associated with the PA-NEDSS, ELR, PHG, HIE, eCR, and Lab applications and platforms Collaborating with the Department of Human Services' (DHS) Medicaid Program and eHealth Partnership Program to support the PHG Working with PHG Coordinator regarding onboarding and registry issues and requests Providing oversight and coordination between the NEDSS-Lab Tier 2 support team, Identity Access Management team, and DOH Tier 1 help desk Communicating issues and working with team leaders to ensure a cohesive and effective coordination of work efforts Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Free parking. Work hours will range from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30 or 60-minute lunch, based on selected work schedule. Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report in-office at minimum 1 day per month. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Although this is a telework position, you will be required to come to the Harrisburg office to pick up your equipment. Other reasons for coming into the office include: attend training, mandatory meetings, or on an ad hoc basis. Your supervisor will give you at least a 24 hour notice and all travel will be at your own expense. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Req irements: One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2; or Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
