The Employment Banking and Revenue IT Delivery Center (EBR DC) has an opening for an Information Technology Generalist 1 to join our team. We support the Pennsylvania Insurance Department (PID) and Department of Banking and Securities (DoBS) to ensure that users can apply for, renew, and manage insurance licenses. In this position, you will provide IT project management and specific program area business analyst support as well as programming and technical support for mission critical commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) specialized applications. This includes consulting with users and vendors to resolve technical problems in addition to coordinating with you supervisor and other team members on project schedules, issue and change management, and any upgrades, new releases, or enhancement initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to participate in trainings providing by EBR DC and self-study in order to improve new technology skills.
Work involves performing application design and development activities, interpreting user requirements and translating them into logical instructions, conducting research and documenting results, participating in cross-functional teams, and providing guidance and support to junior level programmers. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, subject to the once per month in-office collaboration day. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
