DESCRIPTION OF WORK Duties of a Farm Show Equipment Operator A rely on the safe and efficient operation of equipment in response to the demands of the event schedule. This position operates forklifts to set-up and tear down horse stalls, loads and unloads trucks, operates tractors to till and level arenas, and pushes manure from buildings and snow from parking areas. In addition, this position also operates sweepers/scrubbers to clean floors, operates trucks for any and all purposes to maintain facilities and clean up after events, operates high lifts to paint or perform maintenance, and operates power weed trimmer and lawn mower to complete grounds keeping tasks.

Equipment Operators assist with labor-type activities such as painting buildings or equipment, sweeping floors, and cleaning livestock stalls, arena seating, and restrooms. Other duties include trash collection, grounds keeping, and using hand tools or power tools to complete work assignments. This position must be able to work as part of a team and be familiar with the needs of events in order to provide for general set up assistance to the Farm Show staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time temporary employment. This position is considered essential and as such is required to report to working during emergencies and office closings. Shifts available: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Thursday-Monday, 2:30 PM-11:00 PM Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Necessary Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
