DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role is an Employment Opportunity Specialist in the Office of Administration, Bureau of Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and Appeals, in which you would be conducting complex independent professional work and ensuring the Commonwealth is in compliance with all state and federal EEO laws and regulations.

Duties include processing requests for disability, pregnancy-related, and religious accommodations.  Duties also include reviewing appeals of internal discrimination complaints. Work is varied and includes developing, analyzing, interpreting, and enforcing various EEO policies; providing direction and assistance to agencies regarding EEO programs; as well as developing and presenting trainings on EEO-related topics.  This position requires exercising independent judgment in highly confidential, delicate fact specific situations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Telework schedule to be determined in coordination with Director. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Equal Opportunity Specialist 3; or Four years of professional equal employment opportunity program experience and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
