DESCRIPTION OF WORK This internship offers a chance to gain knowledge in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, runway safety area determinations, obstacle action plans, hazard zoning, and project eligibility for pavement projects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Compensation is credit based: Up to 48 credits - $20.35 49-90 credits $20.78 91-120 credits $21.22 You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSStudents who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements: Full-time enrollment in college (carrying 12 or more undergraduate credits, or 9 or more graduate credits) or Part-time enrollment in college (registered for a minimum of six credits) Enrolled part or full-time for the next semester by the start of the internship in an applicable major. Completion of the first year of a two-year associate degree OR four-year bachelor's degree program. In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher) Must be at least 18 years of age Special Requirement: Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Majors: Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
