Fiserv Director, Portfolio Management, Card Services in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

What does a great Director, Portfolio Management do?

You will support the development of the Community Financial Institutions credit advisory practice for Card Services Credit Solutions business. In this critical role, you will help drive client profitability through portfolio growth initiatives, assist them with product design and business growth strategies, cardholder acquisition and portfolio marketing, and help them succeed in building and growing a successful credit card portfolio. Additionally, this position will support key strategic initiatives within the Credit Solutions organization and serve as an overall credit card industry subject matter expert.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage a group of advisors and help them drive portfolio growth through engagement with our client base.

  • Work with our most strategic credit card processing clients at the executive level to understand their market problems, build product, and marketing strategies and deliver on client growth objectives.

  • Partner with Client Executives to facilitate client hand-off to other Fiserv departments to ensure that strategies are translated into actionable tactics.

  • Build knowledge repository and leading best practices to assist our clients to better compete in the industry.

  • Deliver Credit Advisory practice as a key differentiator in the marketplace • Achieve annual product revenue growth and profitability goals.

  • Partner with high performance, client focused team responsible for identifying, designing solutions and delivering on client growth objectives.

  • Develop tools and frameworks to provide thought leadership for Credit both internally and externally, and improve Fiserv’s competitive positioning in the marketplace.

  • Act as an industry subject matter expert for other areas of the organization that serve Credit Solutions clients on a day-to-day basis.

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Prior experience in Credit Card issuing with a bank or credit union.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a strategic decision-making capacity in the Credit Card industry in product management, marketing, market strategy, or a related function.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% (post Covid restrictions).

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Excellent demonstrated knowledge of card payment services and related products, as well as the overall card industry, including competition and financial institutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to conduct financial analyses, compile metrics and articulate results to relevant audience. In depth knowledge of the credit card financial business model and understanding of compiling pro-forma financials and interpreting key data points.

  • Understanding of overall card business KPIs and ability to identify areas of improvement based on KPI performance.

  • Knowledge of broader electronic payments industry and solutions.

  • Excellent professional written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Past experience in creating and delivering meaningful presentation to multiple levels of a financial institutions leadership teams.

  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and live the Fiserv values.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize issues and work independently with minimal supervision/direction and with a strong sense of accountability of self and others.

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with focus on Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work extended hours, as needed.
