DESCRIPTION OF WORK As the Director, Bureau of Wildlife Habitat Management you will be coordinating directly with all of the commission's six regional offices, six bureaus, and the Executive Office in order to direct the statewide game lands management programs designed to establish, maintain, and enhance wildlife habitat on all present and future Game Commission lands. You will be responsible for assisting in the management of both public and privately owned lands in order to promote hunting and trapping recreational values as well as protect and conserve birds, mammals, and their wildlife habitats throughout the commonwealth. You will have the opportunity to attend and participate in staff and field meetings, where you will be advising superiors and training subordinates in all aspects of the land management and wildlife management programs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of experience as a Game Land Officer Manager 2; or Five years of experience as a Game Land Officer Manager 1; or Seven years of professional experience in wildlife land management and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
