The Department of Environmental Protection is currently looking for a director to lead the Bureau of Office Services in Dauphin County. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the financial aspects of the bureau, including managing the budget and program funds. This includes handling support contracts, real estate leases, bonds, mobile device acquisition, time and data plans, mail services, vehicle purchases, printing services, and vehicle maintenance. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to effectively allocate funds to ensure the smooth operation of the bureau's various functions. Additionally, the individual in this role will be responsible for negotiating contracts and leases, as well as coordinating with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree in business administration or a field related to administrative services and office systems, and nine years of professional experience in the administrative services and office systems field. Four of the nine years of required experience must have included managerial and second-level supervisory experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes a minimum of four years of managerial and second-level supervisory experience.
