The Pennsylvania Veterinary Laboratory is responsible for offering quality assured regulatory and diagnostic testing for veterinarians, farmers, animal owners, agribusinesses and regulatory agencies.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will provide limited term clerical support work for operations within the Veterinary Laboratories Division. Duties include assisting with project management and task completion, coordination and execution of equipment installation and maintenance, and monitoring grant and contract expenditures for summary reports and management review.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Temporary, full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework:  You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) one day per month.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $17.70 per hour (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
