DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will draft and prepare correspondence for review and signature, ensuring information is accurate and grammatically correct.  You will also serve as the Agency Response Administrator for the Governor's Office emails to include reviewing correspondence, answering emails, or assigning to the appropriate office bureau contact person to provide a response.

Exercise your organizational skills by preparing the Deputy Secretary's biweekly report for submission to the Secretary, scheduling meetings and maintaining the Deputy Secretary's calendar, and acting as a liaison between bureau directors and other agencies and the Deputy Secretary.  You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling travel and conference arrangements, completing travel expense reimbursements for the Deputy Secretary and others within the DOS Executive Office, and completing Time and Expense reports for bureau directors and commissioners.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must possess at least 2 years of experience providing direct administrative support to executives. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
