DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a highly skilled Accountant 3, you will seize the opportunity to lead the Financial Accounting Section of the General and Public Markets Accounting Division, where you will operate with high independence. As the accounting manager, you will analyze business transactions and their impact on agency operations and financial records. In moments of complexity or when new procedures are required due to legal changes or external influences, you will seek guidance from accounting supervision or agency executive management. In this pivotal role, you will plan and direct work activities, provide training and supervision to a team of accountants, and fulfill all supervisory duties for the unit. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Accountant 2; or Three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting. Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
