Beverage Cart Crew Member / Starter Shack

*WAGE: *$10.00 + TIPS. GUARANTEED MINIMUM $12 HOURLY AVERAGE *HOURS: *PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION(S); MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHIFTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide prompt and courteous service towards the guests.
  • Serve food and beverages from either the snack shop or the beverage cart on the golf course.
  • Check ID's to verify legal drinking age.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of food and beverage items throughout the day.
  • Responsible for all sales and money transactions made.
  • Prepare food items (burgers, brats, hotdogs, etc.) on a barbeque grill.
  • Maintain grill area and snack shop in a clean and orderly condition; wipe tables, wash dishes, sweep and mop floors.
  • Restock food items and beverages in the snack shop daily.
  • Maintain and fill all condiments (ketchup, mustard, onions, napkins, etc.) in the snack shop or the beverage cart as needed.
  • Check gas level in beverage cart before touring the course.
  • Ensure that the beverage cart is operating properly.
  • Report any performance issues with the cart to your supervisor.
  • Clean and stock beverage cart at the end of each shift.
  • All other duties as assigned by Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: *Short order cook experience preferred. *Knowledge: Knowledge of departmental operations and casino policies and procedures. *Skills and Abilities: *Must have well-developed skills. Must have careful and deliberate decision making skills, be detailed oriented, and communicate both verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and handle high stress situations as they present themselves. Must have good customer service skills and work well with the public. Must have the ability to prioritize and be self-motivated.

*TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: *Point of sale, adding machine, 2 way radio, spray washer, food service equipment, utensils, serving utensils and a golf beverage cart.

  • Stand/walk for 4-8 hours of an 8-hour shift. Sit for 4-6 hours of an 8-hour shift.
  • Lift and carry 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, and rotate as needed during an 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to work under varying weather conditions.

*WORK ENVIRONMENT: *The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level is generally quiet. May be exposed from time to time to inclement weather, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and misdirected golf balls. Work hours will include weekdays, weekends and holidays.
