GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Plant Engineer will develop and implement plant technical strategies and day to day activities focused on engineering maintenance and reliability projects and improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work directly with the Plant Engineering Manager to learn every aspect of this position to become a viable backfill for that role. Assists in the Capital and Plant Maintenance budget process while working directly with Department Managers to identify capital projects that will increase production and or reduce labor. Responsible for maintaining an updated working AutoCad drawing of the plant and equipment. Share in the responsibility for the following: to keep the plant in compliance with our insurance requirements and overall responsibility for justifying the replacement of existing equipment based on maintenance time and material or increased production, or reduced labor. Assist in the responsibility for the following: corporate compliance with all state safety regulations, permits, testing, reporting and required training and installation and maintenance of computer asset management and maintenance management projects. Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements providing updates on said project to team, customers and management. Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project. Responsible for assigned projects to include project scope, justification, budget, implementation, and management. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers. Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverable, design documents, and bid packages. Assigns and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing. Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Directs integration of technical activities and products. Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Maintains responsibility for coordinating outside contractors and consultants to ensure the timely and accurate completions of all special project assignments. Perform other job-related projects, duties and assignments as directed by Plant Engineer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Requirements: High school degree or GED 4+ years' experience engineering and maintenance functions in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree (B.S..) in an Engineering Discipline Experience in a food production environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between$72,900-$117,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
