Actalent Quality Engineer in Hanover, Minnesota

Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats between Manufacturing and Quality Engineering, providing a lot of hands-on experience and the chance to grow within the company. You will be responsible for establishing consistent quality assurance and control procedures, performing internal and external audits, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance and control procedures.

  • Perform internal and external audits.

  • Conduct testing on samples and inspect finished products.

  • Monitor and analyze scrap rates and warranty returns.

  • Participate in Kaizen events for continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and standard work.

  • Assist with value stream mapping.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • 3+ years of experience with auditing.

  • 3+ years of experience with root cause analysis, quality control, audit, and corrective action plans.

  • Knowledge of Kaizen events and 5S.

  • Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, and quality management.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Experience with NetSuite MRP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of manufacturing principles.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

  • Experience in establishing and growing a quality department.

Work Environment

The position is within a smaller company of about 45 people. You will work alongside the Manufacturing Engineer and Production Supervisor and report to the Director. This environment offers a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities for hands-on experience and professional growth.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00
