Responsibilities

  • Check the quality of parts being produced and cycle times of machines.

  • Startup machines after mold changes.

  • Cycle machines as necessary.

  • Oversee the duties of each mold setter.

  • Complete process and start-up paperwork and oversee the verification of production.

  • Verify the accuracy of travelers at start-up.

  • Verify all parts meet quality standards at start-up and throughout production run.

  • Verify that machine and part drop area are clean after mold change.

  • Review production schedule and direct changeover crew according to priorities.

  • Assist all production shifts on an as needed basis.

  • Assist Operators with color changes.

  • Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.

  • Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.

  • Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices.

  • Assist in the prevention of nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.

  • Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems.

  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.

  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

  • Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems and very the implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma / GED equivalent

  2. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

  3. Prior blow molding experience

  4. Taking necessary steps to become certified Molding Process Technician

  5. Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and to push / pull loads in excess of 100 pounds.

  6. Ability to work in a dusty environment

  7. Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.

  8. Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.
