Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Specialist in Hanoi, Vietnam

You will be part of our Air Logistics team, adding your procurement, carrier + relationship management expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.

Your Role

Your primary objective will be to support capacity + pricing procurement for regular as well as adhoc business + trade lanes by ensuring Carrier Management is a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers, always in alignment with policy.

Your Responsibilities

You will need to liaise with internal + external stakeholders while aligning the interests of each with our key objectives.

  • To lay out a procurement plan for assigned area of responsibility in alignment with larger initiatives.

  • To evaluate current carrier share for key trade lanes, recommending optimization measures to maximize core carrier share.

  • To evaluate opportunities to consolidate current volumes to achieve better yields and help optimize ANR, laying the foundation for future business development opportunities.

  • To work with the procurement team in the promotion of consol / build up pallet deals, helping to create efficiencies in our long term procurement efforts.

  • To evaluate carrier metrics + ensure volume allocations are in line with targets to support PCP program success.

  • To monitor + push for maximization of volumes via our Gateways, to achieve better consol benefits as well as supporting cost management.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Economics, or relevant field.

  • Having 4-5 years experience in the same role. Being well known with carriers in HAN.

  • Strong negotiation skill + knowledge of the market & across our operations, products + services.

  • Effective communication skill + conflict management +Action oriented +financial acumen.

  • Able to work under pressure. Good at time & task management.

  • Good command of English.
