Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement Specialist in Hanoi, Vietnam
You will be part of our Air Logistics team, adding your procurement, carrier + relationship management expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.
Your Role
Your primary objective will be to support capacity + pricing procurement for regular as well as adhoc business + trade lanes by ensuring Carrier Management is a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers, always in alignment with policy. You will need to liaise with internal + external stakeholders while aligning the interests of each with our key objectives.
Your Responsibilities
To lay out a procurement plan for assigned area of responsibility in alignment with larger initiatives.
To evaluate current carrier share for key trade lanes, recommending optimization measures to maximize core carrier share.
To evaluate opportunities to consolidate current volumes to achieve better yields and help optimize ANR, laying the foundation for future business development opportunities.
To work with the procurement team in the promotion of consol / build up pallet deals, helping to create efficiencies in our long term procurement efforts.
To evaluate carrier metrics + ensure volume allocations are in line with targets to support PCP program success.
To monitor + push for maximization of volumes via our Gateways, to achieve better consol benefits as well as supporting cost management.
Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor Degree in Economics, Import/ Export, Logistics, or related fields
Having at least 2 years working experience in capacity/ pricing/ gateway in Air Logistics of Freight forwarding companies.
Having good knowledge of foreign trade, forwarding and import/ export process
Experienced in working & dealing with air lines.
Customer orientation
Good at communication, negotiation and time management skills.
Good at Analytical & Organizing skills.
Good command of English
