Works under the direction of the FWS. Receives technical direction from the Quality Manager.
Must be able to work independently.
Will be responsible for developing the VNSFS operating procedures for the IDF facility and maintaining them current. This includes:
o a “procedure to write procedures”.
o write new procedures.
o convert existing procedures to support IDF.
The procedure Writer will be tasked with evaluating systems and processes.
The procedure writer will be tasked with planning and executing mockups.
Will be responsible for writing work packages to support work that is not covered by procedure.
Holds Job Safety Analysis Meeting (JSA) to support development of procedures and work packages.
Develop and maintain the Training System for employees as they are assigned to the IDF facility.
Train employees as necessary.
Prepare the Plan of the Day as determined during the daily planning meeting with the Site superintendent.
Prepare the Plan of the Week as determined during the weekly planning meeting.
Accountable to Site Superintendent
This job operates in a professional office environment and field environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Field work requires the proper use of PPE and adherence to posted signage.
The duties of this job require the employee to regularly talk and hear in a noise environment that is normally quiet to moderate.
Light Work Category – Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. The employee exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Education & Certifications:
- Highschool degree
Experience & Requirements:
5 years DOE site experience
5 years experience as technical writer (procedures, Specifications etc)
